I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas (the setting of my book, A Song for Jessica) and graduated with a degree in English from The University of Texas at Austin ages ago. I’ve had many jobs over the years, proofreader, graphic artist, customer service representative, executive complaints clerk, corporate trainer, corporate content writer, English teacher, ESL teacher, elementary school librarian, and blogger, but what I knew I always wanted to do was write a novel.

And when I was in my mid-50’s that’s exactly what I did. In May 2018 I published my first novel, A Song for Jessica, hours before my 56th birthday.

I’m living proof that it’s never too late to follow your dreams.

Besides reading, talking about books, writing, and talking about writing, some of my favorite things to do are scratching my dogs, going for a run/walk (I run/walk a solid twelve-minute mile), and hanging out with my husband at home with our two dogs.
